NOURISHING OUR RELATIONSHIPS, PREPARING FOR BIRTH Throughout pregnancy: –We nourish are bodies & growing babe with healthy diet (and hopefully some prenatal yoga!) –We nourish our curious minds reading all the birth books –We nourish our homes preparing the nursery –But how often do we set aside time to NOURISH OUR CONNECTION with our PARTNERS: to pause and share the depth of this profound journey of pregnancy, birth, parenthood…??? Nourishing & strengthening this connection to our Partners, our Babies and our Selves is an integral, wonderful (and often unacknowledged) aspect of birth preparation. ———– JOIN US for an afternoon to connect more deeply with your partner, your growing baby and yourself as you embark (or continue) on this amazing journey of parenthood together. In a SUPPORTIVE, PLAYFUL environment we’ll practice breath awareness, visualization & specific massage techniques designed to help relieve some of the discomforts of pregnancy and cope with the sensations that arise during labor. Your partner will learn techniques to support and assist you both physically and emotionally throughout this journey, especially during the labor and childbirth process. NO YOGA EXPERIENCE is necessary! Although we will use the philosophy of yoga to guide us into a deeper state of connection, we will only do a few actual yoga “poses” together, so your partner (and you) need not be familiar with yoga. Please feel free to bring snacks. *****This workshop is for any Expecting Couples – ALL TRIMESTERS welcome. (A few couples have taken it 3 times – they loved it so much they repeated in every trimester!) YOUR GUIDE is Hannah Muse: Prenatal + Postnatal Yoga Teacher, Birth Doula, Director of the Prenatal/Postnatal Yoga Teacher Training at Mount Madonna Center, Wife & Mother. She has shared this workshop several times over the past few years, and couples consistently praise the wisdom that unfolded. Many couples have reported great success using the positions, tips, breathwork and massage techniques during their labor after attending the workshop.
